3-[3-(TRIFLUOROMETHYL)PHENYL]-BETA-ALANINE - Introduction
3-AMINO-3-[3-(TRIFLUOROMETHYL)PHENYL]PROPANOIC ACID, also known as TFMPA, is an organic compound. The following is a description of the nature, use, formulation and safety information of TFMPA:
1. Nature:
-Appearance: TFMPA is white to yellowish crystal.
-Solubility: TFMPA is poorly soluble in water and more easily soluble in organic solvents such as ether and acetone.
-Melting point: The melting point of TFMPA is about 130-133°C.
2. Use:
- TFMPA can be used as a catalyst and ligand in organic synthesis, and is often used to catalyze the formation of C- C bonds.
- TFMPA can also be used in the field of organic Optoelectronics, such as as one of the components of optoelectronic materials.
3. Preparation method:
-The preparation method of TFMPA is more complicated. The following is a common synthesis route: first, 3-amino -3-(trifluoromethylphenyl) propionic acid methyl ester is synthesized by reaction, it is then hydrogenated to give 3-AMINO-3-[3-(TRIFLUOROMETHYL)PHENYL]PROPANOIC ACID.
4. Safety Information:
- TFMPA is irritating to the skin, eyes and respiratory tract and contact with TFMPA should be avoided.
-When using or storing TFMPA, care should be taken to prevent it from being exposed to air, light and high temperature.
